
MCKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF News ) – One firefighter was injured as crews battled a large blaze just north of downtown McKinney early Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out around 1:20 a.m. near North Kentucky Street and West Heard Street.
Two houses and an upholstery business suffered extensive damage.
Mckinney Fire Chief Paul Dow said no one was inside the business when the fire broke out and the people inside the homes made it out safely.
The main fire was extinguished within an hour but crews remained on scene to monitor hot spots. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
