McKinney, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – An Amber Alert was issued by McKinney police for two girls who are believed “to be in grave or immediate danger.”
Police are looking for 9-year-old Jessica Burns and 6-year-old Jennifer Burns.
Jessica is 4 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 90 pounds and has blonde hair with blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a red long sleeve shirt with black shoulders, blue jeans, and dark frame glasses.
Jennifer is 4 feet tall, weighs 60 pounds and has blonde hair with blue eyes. She was last seen wearing purple frame glasses, a light blue shirt with sparkle designs and blue jeans.
Police believe that 60-year old Jame Burns abducted the girls. She is a white female is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 230 pounds, and has blonde hair with brown eyes. she was last seen in black clothing and driving a black SUV in McKinney.
Police have arrested the father, 34-year-old Justin Burns in connection with the kidnapping.

(McKinney, TX. January 20, 2023) – The McKinney Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding two young girls who were abducted in our city last night. An Amber Alert has been issued for 9-year-old Jessica Burns and her sister, 6-year-old Jennifer Burns of McKinney.
They are suspected of being taken by 60-year-old Jame Burns, their paternal grandmother. The girls were last seen just before six last night at a restaurant near Central Expressway and Virginia Parkway, where they had been having a supervised visit with their non-custodial father, along with CPS, who has temporary custody of the girls.
The CPS worker called the police and when our Officers arrived, the father, Justin Burns (DOB 1-15-89) was taken into custody, as we do believe he was involved in their disappearance. He is in the Collin County Jail and is being held on two counts of Kidnapping, which are felonies.
Jessica is white, 4’10” tall, and weighs 90 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing dark-frame glasses, a red long-sleeve shirt with black sleeves, and blue jeans.
Jennifer is white, 4 feet tall, and weighs 60 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing purple-framed glasses, a light blue shirt with sparkle designs, and blue jeans.
Burns, who has a criminal record, is driving a black SUV with a scratch on the front, silver door handles, and a black interior.
Our Detectives are currently working with DPS and the FBI to locate the girls. Anyone with information is asked to please call 9-1-1.
