
FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – MedStar is asking North Texans to nominate children who are too sick to go trick or treating but would love to join the fun to take part in its annual Halloween event.
The Tarrant County ambulance service will take the lucky children on an ambulance escort one or two lucky kids to participate.
The child will be picked up at home, be taken to a special selected neighborhood in a fully decorated MedStar ambulance and will have full medical support until their bag of treats is filled.
There are some guidelines to participate in the event:
- Child and parents should live or temporarily reside in the MedStar service area in Tarrant County
- Children in a hospital or other medical facility are eligible, MedStar will coordinate with the facility
- Child should be between 5 and 15 years old
- Child and parents should be willing to share their experiences with media partners and sign a release
- MedStar shall make the final determination of clinical appropriateness for participation
