(WBAP/KLIF) — The Biden administration denies reporters a chance to interview Afghan evacuees being held at Fort Bliss. The base in El Paso is one of eight military installations where evacuees are being housed while undergoing medical and security checks.
The reporters were taken on a three hour tour of the facility. The media was given broad access to the installation, however were not allowed to interview any afghans or allowed to spend more than a few minutes where evacuees were gathered.
It was the first public look inside a U.S. military base housing Afghans airlifted from their home country. Many questions have arisen about how the government is caring for the refugees and vetting them.
