ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF) – Authorities announced on Wednesday that an arrest has been made in a shooting that triggered a statewide blue alert.
A blue alert indicates that a member of law enforcement is hurt and the suspect is on the loose. On Monday night the alert went out after a Clay County Deputy was shot near Wichita Falls. The Deputy is expected to be okay.
According to Clay County authorities, the suspect in that shooting, Joshua Lee Green, is in custody after being found in an Arlington hotel room on Wednesday.
“I cannot tell you how grateful I am for all the other agencies that pitched in to help this guy,” Clay County Sheriff Jeffrey Lyde said.
According to the Arlington Police Department, a multi-agency team, including APD officers who are members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, located Green on Wednesday morning at a hotel in the 4000 block of Scots Legacy Drive.
He was arrested on one count of Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer.
