FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- Responding to the rapid increase of the COVID-19 virus, Fort Worth health officials are extending a free vaccination clinic for a second week, allowing all people 12 years and older to be vaccinated for the start of in-person school, sports or other activities.
The vaccination clinic will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, Monday, Aug. 16, through Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex, 505 W. Felix St.
COVID-19 vaccinations will be administered without charge to all students 12 years and older. Other family members can get vaccinated, too. There is no insurance requirement, and no appointments are needed. The process is quick, safe and easy.
Fort Worth ISD and many others head back to in-person learning on Monday, Aug. 16.
Vaccinations are a proven, safe and effective way to avoid becoming ill. As the number of coronavirus patients in the region continues to increase, hospitals report few empty beds, including no available ICU beds for pediatric patients, according to the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council.
If the Bob Bolen clinic site is not convenient, check out other locations across the city.
