ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF) – After a successful holiday drive-thru food distribution event over the weekend, the “Big Good” event will continue in Tarrant County at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington Friday, November 20th.
The Tarrant Area Food Bank has partnered with the New Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dallas to continue to help North Texas families in need.
On Saturday, thousands of people lined up in their cars at Fair Park as the North Texas Food Bank gave away over one millions pounds of food.
8500 boxes of food containing a turkey, 15 pounds of produce and other items were given out on a first come first serve basis.
Organizers said it was the largest food distribution event in the North Texas Food Bank history.
Unfortunately, it mirrors the growing number of families who are struggling financially as the coronavirus pandemic continues.
