DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- As the total amount of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Dallas County approaches 100, County Judge Clay Jenkins announced new restrictions that will go into effect Sunday morning.
The restrictions focus heavily on social distancing, and are now prohibiting outdoor gatherings that bring people within 6 feet of each other.
“We’ll have officers and people might be ticketed if you don’t keep six foot distancing,” said Judge Jenkins.
The activities include pick up basketball games in parks and walking on public trails.
The restrictions also require all nail, hair, and beauty salons along with tattoo and piercing parlors to close if business cannot be done over six feet away from each other.
Another restriction was aimed at grocery store hoarding.
“We have to move from selfishness to sacrifice we have to stop taking every can of beans off the shelf,” said Judge Jenkins.
One of the main items of discussion was toilet paper, which will now be limited to just 12 rolls or one pack per person.
The total number of confirmed cases in Dallas County rose to 95 on Saturday. One person has died.
