MESQUITE – Mesquite Police announce 14 people have been arrested in connection with an alleged THC edibles importing scheme from California. Lt. Steven Biggs says more than 1,300 THC cartridges and 145 pounds of THC edibles have been confiscated.
Biggs says he’s particularly concerned about the packaging of the gummie-type THC edible “candies”. He says these items are packaged individually but may have been sold in big tubs. See photo attached to this article. Biggs says it’s especially concerning that the active ingredients “will take a while to take effect, so a child could eat several before feeling anything.”
California officials have been notified and the investigation continues.
