DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- AAA Texas tells drivers to drive safe and pack their patience for holiday traffic this weekend.
Daniel Armbruster with AAA says a record number of people will be traveling. From Wednesday to Sunday they estimate 3.5 million travelers on Texas highways.
He reminds drivers to give yourself extra time when traveling home Sunday, keep your phone away and make sure your car is travel ready.
“Check your tires for air pressure, traction, check your oil and car batteries before getting on the road to travel,” he said. “We are going to rescue more than 16,000 motorists just in that five day period and the top issues are flat tires, dead batteries and vehicle lockouts,” he said.
