Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – During new year’s eve patrols, the combined efforts of Dallas Police and Dallas Fire Rescue resulted in over one thousand pounds of fireworks being confiscated, and 3 tickets were written.
In Fort Worth, police say they responded to 63 celebratory gunfire related calls between beginning at 8pm on New Year’s Eve through 2am January 1.
Among those calls, a stray bullet that came eerily close to a Fort Worth pastor during his NYE service. Pastor Evan Risher of Ramp Church of Texas says the bullet fell a foot from the pulpit during his sermon.
He told WFAA-TV, that he was walking on stage when he heard a loud noise. A bullet slug, possibly from 40-caliber gun, landed between Risher and the church drummer.
