UPDATED: Denton Police issued an alert about multiple car accidents that happened around 8:30 this morning as a result of icy conditions. The area has been closed off until TxDOT sends trucks to sand the affected roads and bridges.

Dallas-Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – A freezing rain threat continues for areas west of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex; otherwise light rain is falling elsewhere.
In Tarrant County there are signs of freezing precipitation on road signs, and cars.

Counties north and west of the will bear the brunt of the winter precipitation today as snow and sleet is expected to arrive in the metro on Thursday in earnest.
