Dallas-Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – You may think it takes 11-thousand years to make your way through DFW Airport, and for some recently discovered fossils, that sounds about right.
Back on November 2nd, two airport employees found a mammoth tooth in a creek bed on the property that dates back to the Ice Age.
The next day, a bison bone from the same era was found near a runway.
SMU is working to formally identify the fossils.
The university will keep the bones to preserve them and for proper curation.
