Taylor, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Just days into a new school year and 3 seniors from a Texas high school have been arrested for allegedly plotting allegedly plotting to shoot up their school.
Police arrested Devant Davis-Brooks, 17, Kadin Watson, 17, and Emmanuel Pina Tejas, 17, on charges of terroristic threat after several students overheard them detailing plans for an active shooting at the school involving explosives.
Taylor ISD Superintendent Keith Brown told KVUE-TV, that one of of the students who overheard the conversation during English class reported it to school officials.
One resident reacted by saying, “We have a small town and to have something like this happen is really frightening.”
Since the Santa Fe shooting earlier this year, Taylor ISD has implemented a number of extra security measures. Officials also encourage students to speak up if the see something.
