HOUSTON (WBAP/KLIF News) — Governor Greg Abbott is on a roundtable tour across the state, telling teachers he believes the best of the best deserve to make six-figure salaries.
According to KTRK-TV, Governor Abbott sat down with a handful of teachers near New Braunfels to outline a plan he wants the legislature to take up. That plan would include allowing districts to have flexibility to determine who gets the biggest paychecks, and not increasing property taxes.
Abbott said the goal is to keep talented teachers in the classroom.
