Duncanville, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A massive brawl after a Duncanville basketball game has two schools investigating.
The fight happened last night after DeSoto won at Duncanville, with players from both teams taking off jerseys and throwing punches. Both school’s officials say they’re working together to determine what caused it, who specifically was involved, and what punishments will be on the table. A witness says some players were injured.

The DeSoto ISD issued a witten statement about the incident.
“DeSoto ISD does not condone the actions of the young men involved in the altercation that took place at last night’s basketball game at Duncanville High School.DeSoto ISD administrators are in the process of reviewing what happened following last night’s boys’ basketball game at Duncanville High School.
We are working with Duncanville ISD’s athletics administrators and school administrators in addition to UIL to determine who was involved, where discipline is applicable and what next steps are in order as a result of last night’s incident.
The review process will identify who was involved and determine appropriate disciplinary action where applicable.
We are working to follow all processes in place as based on local and state requirements when an incident of this nature occurs.
DeSoto ISD does not condone the behavior that occurred at last night’s basketball game and will be working to ensure that this does not occur again in the future.”
