GARLAND (WBAP/KLIF News) – The family of a convenience store clerk that was gunned down during a robbery over the weekend has started a GoFundMe account.
35-year-old Manish Pandey was killed during an attempted robbery while he was working at an Exxon gas station on the corner of Broadway Boulevard and East Oates Road Saturday night.
Pandey left behind a wife, who is five-months pregnant.
According to the GoFundMe page, family members described Pandey as a “very hardworking, honest and caring.”
The campaign’s goal is to raise $50,000. They’ve raised almost $17,000 so far.

A memorial at the store has grown since news of Pandey’s death spread throughout the community.
There’s also a $10,000 reward being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects in his death.
