McKinney, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – The McKinney Police Department reportedly has a suspect in custody on a capital murder warrant in connection with the shooting death of a 7-year old in Greenville Thursday.
McKinney police say they were contacted by police in Greenville around 2:45 this monring about the warrant for Brooke Craig.
After being contacted by Greenville police about a capital murder warrant for Boroke Craig, McKinney Police says their officers located the suspect’s vehicle leaving a Walgreens and initiated a stop. The suspect fled into neighboring Frisco and through multiple residential areas off Panther Creek, until turning down a dead end street.
While attempting to back up, the suspect hit a McKinney squad car.
Craig and passenger Cameron Castillo were taken into custody. Castillo was arrested for parole violation.
The arrest follows a domestic disturbance call in Greenville late Thursday afternoon. When police arrived to a residence on Pickett Street, they found and empty house; latter, they learned that a 7-year old child had been rushed by car to Hunt Regional Medical Center. The child died at the facilty.
