DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) The Colony – The Texas Rangers are investigating an officer involved shooting in The Colony, a city just north of the Metroplex.
Police received a call about a burglary Tuesday evening around 6:30 at a home on Rice Street near Paige Road and North Colony Boulevard. Officers found two people in the house. One ran and the other pulled a knife.
He was shot and died at the scene. No officers were injured.

(WBAP/KLIF) Wednesday morning, the owners of the home tell our Scott Sidway that she was inside the home with her daughter when a man used a cinderblock to break in through a back patio.
She says he grabbed a knife, so she and her daughter ran to the neighbors’ home to call 9-1-1.
She also says no one else was with him, even though police say there were two suspects.
