WASHINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) North Texas Congressman Michael C. Burgess has issued his concerns regarding the current healthcare crisis in Puerto Rico.
The former medical doctor and current Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Heath issued a statement Wednesday saying, “I am deeply concerned about the medical system in Puerto Rico as it recovers from the destruction caused by Hurricane Maria. On Monday, I heard from physicians, nurses, and hospital administrators about their concerns for Puerto Rico’s medical infrastructure. As the Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, I want to ensure the subcommittee will do its job to help our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico.”
