AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Department of Public Safety has added a north texan to their Ten Most Wanted Sex Offenders list.
Dakota Marcus Stewart, 26, is from Mansfield and landed on the list after failing to register as a sex offender. He was originally convicted in 2009 of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by exposure in Tarrant County after incidents with two girls, ages 9 and 11.
His last known address was in Mansfield but he also has ties to Fort Worth, Arlington and Dallas. He is six feet tall and weighs approximately 175 lbs, has a tattoo on his left wrist and scars on his left hand, back and face.
Stewart is a high risk offender and considered armed and dangerous.
Texas Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture. They can be contacted in a variety of ways:
- Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477)
- Text the letters “DPS” – followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone
- Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture
- Submit a Facebook tip at http://www.facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section)
