DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — A Corinth man is missing and his family is desperately searching for him.
Kenneth Draper was last seen at his home Thursday, August 10. Draper’s wife, Leslie, said she saw him go into the bathroom around 11:30 p.m. She was wearing headphones listening to an audio book at the time. She fell asleep and when she awoke the following morning around 6:30 her husband was missing.
Draper’s sister-in-law, Gail Percle, told NBC’s Dateline that Ken wasn’t usually awake by 6:30 and if he was it was to walk the dog but that morning the dog was still inside. Ken’s vehicle was still parked outside but he was missing. Percle said Leslie called a friend and was advised to not panic but when Ken hadn’t returned by 12:30 or so she called police.
The Corinth Police Department is investigating but don’t think there is any reason to suspect foul play in Draper’s disappearance.
The Drapers have been married for 20 years. It’s his second marriage and he’s said to be on good terms with his first wife and their two sons. He also has many close friends.
Family members say he had been a bit stressed by his job recently but other than that he was apparently happy as usual and not acting strangely.
The Drapers were making plans to travel to North Carolina this Friday with friends to watch the total solar eclipse on Monday. Gail told Dateline. “He loves that sort of stuff. He’s a bit nerdy, loves science and stuff. It sounded like he was really looking forward to seeing it.”
Ken Draper is described by NBC News as 53 years old, 5’11” tall, weighing 165 lbs. with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call the Corinth Police Department at (940) 349-1600.
