DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Former Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver, Michael Irvin will not face Sexual Assault charges after rape allegations surfaced earlier this year.
Irvin was accused in March of drugging and raping a 27-year-old woman in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Irvin strongly denied the claims. Prosecutors said there was a lack of evidence in the case.
“There was no likelihood of conviction if we went to trial,” said Ron Ishoy, Communication Director for the Broward County State Attorney’s Office.
Ishoy said the case was thoroughly investigated.
