ENNIS (WBAP/KLIF News) — One person is dead and another is in the hospital after an 18-wheeler drove through a fender bender that happened just minutes earlier.
The initial wreck happened in Ennis on I-45 northbound near Highway 287. Police say the two drivers got out of their cars and called for help, but before officers could arrive, a semi plowed through the wreck, tipped over and killed one of the drivers.
The other driver avoided the second collision and was hospitalized, but their injuries are not expected to be severe.
Ennis Police are unsure why the 18-wheeler did not stop before running through the wreckage.
