Denton (WBAP/KLIF) – The Denton Police Department is investigating an early Sunday morning fatal traffic accident that occurred on I-35W near the exit to the town of Ponder. A stalled vehicle that had broken down in the right lane of traffic was hit from behind a little after 2:00 AM, and the driver of the disabled vehicle was killed. The other motorist survived the impact. The roadway was closed for several hours so investigators could thoroughly examine the scene.
