DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — If you’re avoiding the Dallas North Tollway this weekend because of planned construction, you may not have to after all.
Due to severe weather threats, the Tollway between Spring Creek and the Sam Rayburn Tollway will stay open all weekend. The NTTA originally planned on shutting that stretch down in both directions so they could install beams needed for a U-turn lane at Legacy Drive.

Now, the plan is to shut down that part of the Tollway during Father’s Day weekend next month, but that is subject to change if weather presents another severe threat.
It will be the second time in two months part of the Dallas North Tollway is closed. In April, a section in Collin County was closed to demolish the Tennyson Bridge.
