(WBAP/KLIF) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, April 29th. Parkland Health & Hospital System has partnered with the Dallas County Hospital District Police Department to host a ‘National Prescription Drug Take Back Day’ event.
During the event, the community is welcomed to drop off old, expired, unwanted prescription drugs. Miranda Skaaning of Parkland Hospital says disposing of prescription drugs properly is a game changer: “A lot of people don’t realize that it’s [prescription drugs] a leading cause of accidental poisonings and just taking a look at your medicine cabinet and getting rid of the things that kids could get into and they might mistake them for candy.”
The event will be from 10AM to 2PM and will be held at the Simmons Ambulatory Surgery Center in Dallas.
