DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of Dallas is now hiring for the Chief of Police position.
On the Dallas city website, the position of Dallas Police Chief is called a rare and incredible opportunity to lead one of the nation’s top law enforcement agencies.
This comes while the department is reporting the lowest number of officers in ten years and down nearly 700 positions in the past six years alone. That information not included on the job posting.
Interim Police Chief David Pughes has said he is not interested in the position full time.
The City’s posting says that while a Bachelor’s degree is required, a Master’s degree is considered a plus.
The deadline to apply is June 2nd.
