FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Fort Worth Police Department is getting a $355,000 donation Thursday afternoon to help purchase 900 enhanced bullet-proof vests for SWAT officers.
The money is being donated by the Mallick Group, a Fort Worth real estate and energy-related investment firm.
It’s part of the “Protect the Fort” and “Call to Action” initiatives which support police officers.
Additional donations will be used to buy enhanced ballistic helmets and other protective equipment.
