Frisco (WBAP/KLIF) – Frisco voters have rejected a proposed increase in their property taxes. Saturday’s voter turnout was more than 15%, with more than 11,000 Frisco residents turning their thumbs down on a 13 cent property tax hike, while 8,000 voted for the measure that was to pay for more classroom teachers, and teacher pay raises. Frisco’s city manager had called the proposal “the most important issue facing Frisco today.” Opponents argued the school district should use what money it has more wisely, and keep Frisco affordable.
