WEST (WBAP/KLIF News) – West High School will open its doors for the first time since a fertilizer plant exploded.
Fifteen people were killed and more than 160 were injured in the blast on April 17, 2013. The explosion leveled about 150 buildings in town.
On May 11, 2016, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said the fire had been deliberately set.
High school students have been taking classes in portable buildings for the past three years.
For the senior class, it will be the first time they’ll walk the hallways since their freshman year.
For sophomores and juniors, it will be the first time.
