GRAND PRAIRIE (WBAP/KLIF News) – A woman from Grand Prairie is facing a felony charge after police said she left her two-year-old granddaughter in a hot car.
Maritza Charles, 60, was booked into the Grand Prairie Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
She’s accused of leaving the toddler in a car at a shopping center on June 22.
Charles later realized what happened and called 911.
The child was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, and is now recovering.
