AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF News) – Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said an indictment for securities fraud will not keep him from running for reelection.
“Let there be no doubt that at the appropriate time General Paxton will make the official announcement that he fully intends to seek re-election and keep fighting for Texas,” Paxton’s campaign consultant Jordan Berry told the Texas Tribune.
The Securities and Exchange Commission filed federal charges against Paxton for failing to tell potential investors he’d get a commission for promoting stock in a technology company.
Paxton had already pleaded not guilty to charges in Collin County.
